The Panasonic HDC-TM10 represents the brand new additions to Panasonic’s consumer HD camcorder line. The Panasonic camcorders are the repackaged versions of Panasonic’s previous mid-range HD camcorders (the HDC-TM20, SD20, and HS20). The HDC-TM10 from the electronics giant Panasonic has the same sensor, optical zoom and pixel count, and it also captures Full HD video at 1920 x 1080 pixels. Panasonic hasn’t changed many controls and features; it still has the iA modes, a touch screen interface and 24p Digital Cinema option. Panasonic claims the world’s lightest titles with the HDC-TM10 and HDC-SD10 camcorder models that weigh only half a pound.
The Panasonic HDC-TM10 has 1/6 inch MOS image sensor with total resolution of 1.47 megapixels. It includes 1.17 megapixels of both motion and still image. The camcorder has F1.8 (wide) lens and for tele it has 2.8 lenses. The Panasonic HDC-TM10 also includes a 16x optical zoom with 40x - 1000x digital zoom along with 30.5mm filter diameter. The standard illumination of the Panasonic camcorder is 1400 lx with minimum illumination of 9 lx for 1/25 low light mode and 1 lx for colour night view mode. The Panasonic HDC-TM10 has an IOS advance image stabilizer.
As far as Panasonic HD camcorders go, the HDC-TM10 has a reasonably sized 2.7 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 230,400 pixels. The camcorder creates recording, still pictures and motion pictures at a resolution of 2.1 megapixels. The camcorder also includes 2 channel stereo system and zoom mic type of microphone. It also has a 2 channel Dolby digital audio recording system that provides with clarity in sound. The Panasonic HDC-TM10 weighs 227g with dimensions of 48 x 63 x 115 mm. The accessories included with the Panasonic HDC-TM10 camcorder includes AC adaptor, AC/DC cable, rechargeable 725 mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack, video component cable, AV cable, USB cable and HD Writer AE 1.5 software.
