Compact digital cameras have totally replaced the traditional photographic film cameras because digital cameras are quick, easy to use and portable as well. The compact digital cameras are fitted with a small LCD screen which works as a viewfinder. Some of the great digital cameras include Olympus X930, Vivitar ViviCam 8018 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1. The Olympus X930 is a very stylish digital compact camera. The resolution of this camera is around 12.2 megapixels which is good enough to record high quality pictures. The CCD-Chip sensor fitted in this camera further enhances the picture quality.
The LCD screen fitted in this device has a diagonal screen size of 2.7 inch. It offers an optical zoom of 4 X which enables you to clearly record distant objects. Whilst other compact digital cameras offer much more in terms of performance, the ViviCam 8018 is enough for simple candid and amateur shots. It is fitted with an image stabiliser that allows you to record fast moving objects. It is installed with a flash which enables you to click pictures in the dark. The Vivitar ViviCam 8018 is available in a very trendy blue colour which gives it a modish look. The maximum resolution of this camera is around 3,264 X 2,448 Pixel. The internal memory of this device is around 16 MB which can only store limited pictures but for increasing the memory you will have to install a memory card.
Transferring pictures from this camera is pretty easy as it is fixed with a USB 2.0 port. This product weighs around 80 g and can be easily carried as well. To further enhance the picture quality this camera is also installed with white balance programmes.

I am looking for a great, simple but not too expensive (!) digital camera. My wife has a Canon Ixus 95 so I’m looking for something comparable with this.
My options so far are the Ixus 95, Sony DSCW-215 and the Olympus X-930 - all of which are reduced in the sales. I also had a quick look at a Nikon (S220) and one of the Fuji Finepix’s.
I have read your review of the Olympus X-930 which was very helpful and I like the sound of it. I found it on the net for c£100, which fits the bill. I was ready to go for this after reading your review - however I noticed the X-935 which is only slightly more expensive, but looks like it has a number of extra features, and was wondering if you had tested this particular camera. The only reviews I found were from purchasers on a US shopping channel - and were not very complimentary.
Appreciate the assistance - hope you enjoy the rest of the festivities.
