Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS42 is a 10.1 mega pixel digital camera with 2.5 inch LCD screen and a lens with 33-132mm equivalent coverage. Equipped with a 10 mega pixel sensor, it has a matte finish. Build-wise, it is a sleek camera and weighs a mere 132 grams. With dimensions 98×55x22 mm, it fits easily in the pocket but at the same time, it is big enough to be gripped comfortably while taking shots. Placement of buttons too is comfortable and the facing side of the camera has a preview/shooting mode toggle, along with a handful of the basic buttons. The buttons enhance its portability and ensure that they don’t get pressed accidentally. With a compact screen, the Panasonic camera has a pixel count at 230,000.
Designed similarly like a DMC-FS42, this digital camera does not have optical image stabilisation feature though it has an extended battery life of 390 pictures. Auto Scene mode including Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection are its highlights while its LCd screen offers crystal-clear images. It has a 4x optical zoom (Max 7.1x in 3-megapixel recording using Extra Optical Zoom) and the camera uses a F2.8 LUMIX DC VARIO lens. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS42 camera also offers WVGA (848×480), VGA (640×480), QVGA (320×240) at 30 fps movie recording besides other features like Photo editing and organising software PHOTOfunSTUDIO 3.0 that featuring Face Recognition feature. A unique lightweight point-and-shoot digicam with 10.1 megapixel camera, it delivers high qualoty results with minimal blurring of images.
