The latest entrant to join the popular Optio P series of digital compact cameras, Pentax Optio P80 is a 12 mega pixel camera and features HD video capture in a slim, lightweight body. Equipped with a 27.5-110mm equivalent 4x zoom lens, the Pentax camera has many other features like shake reduction (though not of the mechanical kind), extra-quick face detection, smile capture and an Auto Picture mode that automatically selects the scene mode. Boasting of an improvement of the Face Detection AF & AE function on the P80, the digital compact camera can now capture subject faces from an angle. Its Auto-Tracking AF function is responsive and helps keep an active subject in constant focus. It has a large 2.7 inch LCD screen with 2,30,000 dot resolution for accurate composition and playback of still images and video while its PENTAX 4X wide angle optical zoom is equivalent to 27.5-110mm focal length. Its high resolution, widescreen, HD video can capture up to 720p at a full-speed 30 frames per second. Ultra-slim and super efficient, the Pentax Optio P80 digital camera has sensitivity up to ISO 6400 which boosts of shutter speeds that can freeze subject movement for blur-free images even in low lighting. Its Shake Reduction (SR) technology features Pixel Track SR, Digital SR and Movie SR that stabilises images and video for beautiful, blur-free results.
