Ricoh is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic products such as digital cameras and office equipment like printers, photocopiers, fax machines, etc. Ricoh also offers document management solutions like DocumentMall. The latest entry from Ricoh in the digital camera market is the Ricoh CX1. It has a revolutionary Dynamic Range Double Shot mode using which the camera takes two images almost at the same time but with different exposures. It then combines them automatically and presents the best bits of both the images.
The CX1 Ricoh digital camera features the highly advanced image processing engine called Smooth Imaging Engine IV and a CMOS sensor, both of which work together to give a high-speed image processing. The 9 megapixel CMOS sensor is fronted by a 7.1x (28-200mm) lens and backed by a 3 inch LCD display. In spite of having a 7.1x optical wide-angle zoom lens, the digital camera has a compact body because it is designed using the Ricoh’s original Double Retracting Lens System. The compact and simple design makes the Ricoh CX1 both easy to carry and to operate. The Motion Blur Reduction feature enables you take pictures in high zoom range with minimum amount of blurring. The 9.29 million pixels provided in the digital camera helps in maximising the image quality. To enhance image beauty to the maximum level, the CX1 has the imaging power that isolates one instant at a time. The camera bears slots for SD and SDHC memory cards and has an internal memory of about 88MB. The ideal operating temperature of Ricoh CX1 is 0°C - 40°C.
