Released with a bang, the Samsung ST1000 has the world’s first built-in geo-tagging technology, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. Its Wi-Fi feature helps users email photos direct from their camera and upload their photos or videos to selected popular social networking websites including Facebook, Picasa, YouTube without ever needing to connect to a PC. Users can click, send and post pictures instantaneously whilst its GPS capabilities help keep track of exactly where each picture was shot. The Smart Touch AF is on board which allows the user to quickly change the position of the active AF point. The in-built GPS in the 12 megapixel camera displays the city name and region on the camera’s LCD screen, thus providing users with a real-time display of their location and reference for when they are reviewing and managing images.
Equipped with a 5x zoom lens, Samsung ST1000 allows users to capture 12 mega pixel stills and 720p high-definition video clips. Available in silver/red, black/black, red/black, black/gold and blue/grey colour combinations, the cyber-shot camera from Samsung uses Bluetooth 2.0 technology so that users can wirelessly beam their favourite images to other compatible mobile phone devices. What’s more, the Samsung ST1000 is DLNA compliant (Digital Living Network Alliance), thus allowing users to wirelessly connect the camera to other DLNA compliant devices, such as HDTVs, digital picture frames, media servers or gaming systems in their networked home. Equipped with the ‘intelli-studio’ PC software package which is embedded in the camera, the software allows viewing, editing and managing pictures. Since it is built into the Samsung ST1000 camera, it automatically loads onto the computer when you connect your camera to it. All in all, a sleek and compact camera, it is unique and innovative device designed for today’s multi-tasking generation.
