The Samsung WB1000 is a digital compact camera that belongs to the Samsung WB series. The camera has dimensions of 97 x 62 x 21.8 mm and weighs just 160g. It has a camera resolution of 12.0 megapixels and includes CCD-Chip (1/2.33″) type of sensor. The camera displays a picture resolution of 4,000 x 3,000 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Samsung WB1000 has a 3 inch digital screen with OLED Screen viewfinder. The camera includes 5x optical zoom and digital zoom of 5x. The camera has a focal length of 24 – 120mm with an exposure time of 8 - 1/2000 seconds.

The SamsungWB1000 has the facility of capturing images, videos and audio recording. The camera uses the HD-Video (720p) for video recording and saves the file in formats of PEG (EXIF 2.2), QuickTime and WAV. The camera includes an internal memory of 40 MB and has slots for SD and SDHC type of memory cards where the captured files get saved and are later transferred to PC.
