The Lumix DMC-L10 is a ten megapixel digital SLR camera from the Panasonic Electronics company. The first thing that strikes you as you look at this camera is its impressive layout and user friendly controls. Hand grip is extremely comfortable and this camera is lower priced than Panasonic’s other digital SLR cameras. In fact it is priced two thirds of the previous model.
Lumix DMC-L10 is packed with features that make it stand out much above the other entry level models. This camera comes with a 10 megapixel resolution and an impressive LCD screen measuring 2.5 inches. This screen is the pull out type. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 body camera is also equipped with the Live View feature and the L-MOS sensor. The f/3.8-5.6 Leica zoom of 14 to 50mm provides excellent image stabilization.
L10 offers 166:9 or 4.3:3.2 aspect ratio images. Lens provides a good wide angle view and it is long enough to be multi purpose and extremely attractive. The Live View feature offers you the facility to compose the snaps using the screen. This can be done with the help of the contrast-detection AF and the phase detection AF operation.
Sensor sensitivity runs to a maximum of ISO 1600 from ISO 100 and is at par with other similar models. This camera can automatically detect movement of the subject and adjust the ISO. It also keeps noise levels low. This feature however is only active with the Live View mode. On the whole, the Panasonic Lumix model is a wonderful camera for both amateurs and professionals.
