The new Pentax K100D is similar to its predecessor in many ways. Other than the change in the name, there is the new CCD-shift image stabilization system which is otherwise called the Shake Reduction system. Unlike other unstabilized cameras you could take sharper photos with slower shutter speeds using any Pentax lens. There is also the new 6.1 mega pixel CCD, with full manual controls, a 2.5” LCD display, and all the other new options that you have on a digital single lens reflex camera. The K110D is just like the K100D but it costs less because it does not have the Shake Reduction. The pictures are quite crisp and sharp aided by the shake reduction feature and colours are natural.
The K100D from the Pentax Corporation has two kits available – one with just the body and the other accessories bundled together, and the next kit has all the accessories plus a lens. Accessories include the lens kit which has an additional Pentax F3.5 -5.6, 18-55 mm autofocus lens. It also comes with four AA alkaline batteries, the hot shoe cover and neck strap and the USB Cable.
The Pentax D-SLR does not offer any battery grip. The Pentax DSLR camera comes with external flashes AF30FGZ and AF540FGZ. The CS-205 remote shutter release or the Remote Control F allows the camera to be used in a remote manner. The Pentax K100D body DSLR camera is powered by the K-AC10 AC adapter. Packed with a lot of interesting features, the K 100 D is definitely good value for money.
