The Pentax K-x 18-55mm 55-300mm is based on the digital SLR camera Pentax K-m that was launched last year. The camera comes with smc Pentax DA L 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL & smc Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4.0-5.8 ED double lens kit.

This brand new camera features a high performance CMOS image sensor and an improved filter function. With 12.4 megapixels, the CMOS image sensor is able to capture true-to-life images with the finest detail and rich colours. Although the image sensor is quite big with a dimension of 23.6mm x 15.8mm, the Pentax K-x is considered to be one of the most light weight and compact digital SLR cameras in its range. The SLR camera offers a wide ISO sensitivity range that is from ISO 200 to ISO 6400 and also features a custom function that allows you to expand the range of ISO sensitivity from 100 – 12800.

An important highlight of the Pentax K-x 18-55mm 55-300mm is the high speed PRIME II imaging engine that offers high speed of data processing and an enhanced capability to produce better quality pictures. An entire new range of advanced features have been incorporated into the camera such as high-speed continuous shooting, movie recording and live view shooting. The live view function of the Pentax K-x 18-55mm 55-300mm camera allows you to view the image on its LCD screen while you are shooting. There are three different focusing modes available in the digital SLR camera which you can utilize during live view shooting and these are Contrast AF, Face Detection and the Phase Difference AF.
