The GX-1L DSLR camera from Samsung has wide 2.5 in TFT LCD that not only allows users a clear and easy view, users can also navigate the menu quite easily. The digital camera has been provided with a stainless steel body that makes it lightweight but sturdy. This camera has been fitted with a Schneider Kreuznach refractive lens that ensures your images are of excellent quality. The lens further reduces distortion of images and enhances colour.

The GX 1L is available with 18-55 mm lens but a 50-200mm lens is an additional optional accessory. This is the same lens configuration as newer Samsung cameras like the Samsung GX-20 18-55mm + 50-200mm as well. The GX 1L remains very similar to its newer counterparts, which have improved upon the high-end camera only marginally. The GX 1L camera also has a very high setting with automatic sensitivity with ISO range of 200 to 3200 that ensures all images captured are extremely clear even taken in improper lighting.

The camera has been provided with a separate LCD on top which provides information on different camera operations like focus, white balance, and shutter speed and displays battery life. User control of the menu is quick and easy. The camera allows a very wide coverage of 96% due to the presence of a penta mirror viewfinder, which means you can capture everything in your digital camera.

Users have a choice of 7 modes to choose from that include portrait, landscape, standard, macro and moving, while its automatic mode will enable the camera to set itself automatically to enable users to a high quality image. A built in flash provides the required lighting and reduces red eye in captured images. The Samsung GX 1L weighs 470g and comes in dimensions of 125 x 92.5 x 67mm. The camera requires four AA NiMH batteries to power it.
