Fragile items like a camera, its lenses and filters and its various other accessories need proper cushioning and need to be transported with safety. A proper camera case is the most basic thing that you must have to store your camera safely. The case helps keep the camera in place while providing a cushion for your valuables at the same time. Well-layered and made of foam, some camera cases also allows you to customise the interior of your particular case according to your personal gear. Available in one, two or three layers, the case will protect your camera from sunlight, dust, knocks and other elements at all times. Mostly people choose a case from the medium case series to store their cameras and accessories. A medium camera case includes a tray with several dividers, foam lid piece, wheels with steel ball bearings and a retractable handle.
Camera case foam is easy to install. Just pull out the half inch cubes where they are not required you and you will got instant protection. To ensure that your camera case foam fits the camera well, you might need to cut it. For round cuts, first make vertical holes for storing 1.25 inch eyepieces, then take a piece of thin wall tubing (copper, aluminium, steel or PVC). Sharpen one end with a round file and make the chamfer from the outside diameter to the inside one. Mark the place where you want the hole and start turning the “tool” with a little down pressure. This will cut through the foam however but keep it vertical depending on how deep you want the hole and how many layers of foam exist. In a similar manner, you can cut holes of all sizes to make place for the camera accessories.
