One of Europe’s premier camera manufacturing companies Hasselblad built on the success of its H1 series and with a string of developmental changes and upgrades the Hasselblad H2D was launched in 2006. Developed using feedback from professional photographers this Hasselblad camera enhances mobility and delivers crisp pictures.
The unusually designed exterior houses a 22 mega pixel CCD sensor that improves the image quality. It employs a very different optical format that is unlike the usual 35 MM version. The extra large viewfinder enables better image composition. The shutter speed ranges from 32 seconds to 1/800 of a second. The ISO range in the Hasselblad H2D varies from 50 to 400 and allows you to capture images in a variety of conditions. The digital negative technology which was developed in close association with Adobe reduces the time taken to process the image while the flexcolour feature allows the photographer to modify the colour temperature and choose the most precise option. The patented Instant Approval Architecture immediately sends audio and visual signals to the photographer informing him about the amount red, amber or green light grade. The camera offers three different kinds of storage options that include CF card, flexible Firewire and tethered operation with increased capture control. It features a 2.2 inch colour LCD for reviewing the images shot. It has built-in along with an external flash and built-in speaker.
The Hasselblad H2D is capable of remarkable functions and with its specific professional design is a must have for serious and professional photographers. Although the high price it is valued at might make most people cringe.
